What do I need to do to launch a cover on streaming platforms?
A cover is the re-recording of a previously recorded song that does not dramatically alter the lyrics or arraignment of the original. In a cover, the only thing that changes is whose performing.
In some countries, a prior license is required for re-recordings of songs as covers. Being protected by copyright, it is necessary to request prior authorization from the author.
To release a cover with ONErpm, an artist must have a license that allows for the re-recording and global distribution of the song. In some cases, our approval team may request a copy of this license to ensure that everything is done legally.
