New Music Friday | September 9, 2022

Hey, #ONErpmfam! The Summer is drawing to a close, and like you, we are totally bummed out. That, however, is why we cooked up a hot and ready serving of New Music Friday.

Check out these fantastic new releases from some of our favorite ONErpm artists dropping this weekend. See one you like? Just click on the album cover or song title, and you’ll be instantly taken to that release’s smart link.

The Summer Set – “Blossom”

Are you crying? Because we’re crying (in a cool way). ‘Blossom’, the new album from The Summer Set, is here and it is the perfect end-of-summer soundtrack. There is a song for everyone (FTS with a feature from Travie McCoy is just too much fun.) If you’re as happy as us that they’re back and gifting us former-emo kids with alternative pop rock excellence, give it a stream or thousand.

The Lagoons – ‘Surf Rock’

It may be almost Fall, but The Lagoons have transported us straight back to the peak of the summertime with the release of their EP, ‘Surf Rock’. The four-song project will make listeners feel like they’re sitting on the beach with a sangria in hand instead of in an office with day-old coffee. If you want to feel sunnier this weekend, crank this one up to eleven and bask in the rhythmic tunes.

“Angels” – The National Parks

If there are two things The National Parks is good at, it’s storytelling and putting us in our feels. Their new track, “Angels”, feels like a tunnel song; dynamic and ever-alive. “Angels” is what every person wants to experience in a relationship. We have a feeling that this is going to be the anthem for a lot of weddings to come (but, if you’re single, blast the track anyways. It’s a definite mood booster.)

Wifisfuneral – “Ahhhhhh”

Come and chill in the deep end this weekend with Wifisfuneral and his mellow new single “Ahhhhhh”. Apparently taking home the prize for “most creative song title of the year” wasn’t enough for the Florida-based rapper. Devious, energizing, and a whole lot of fun, this melodic-trap banger will have you feeling wavey until Monday morning.
